RAF Museum Lancaster Flypast 17/5/2013

Privileged to attend the RAF Museum Hendon Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster Flypast at 3.15pm today Friday 17th May 2013.

 

Also took a look around the mini exhibition for operation Chastise – well worth a visit!

RAF Museum Hendon Photography after hours event

Lucky enough to attend a great event ran by the RAF Museum on Friday 19th April 2013.

Event commenced with a brief but fascinating history of each of the aircraft featured, together with details of their restoration and maintenance.

We when then allowed to go behind the barriers and get up close to the featured aircraft which were:

Chipmunk T.Mk.10

Vampire F3

Jet Provosty T 5A

Canberra PR.3

Lighting F.6

A few shots follow, all taken with my Nikon D800E + 16-35mmf4G AF-S VR lens tripod mounted apart from one shot taken with the Sigma 35mmf1.4 DG Art series lens at f1.4 hand held.
